Policies & Customer Information
Last updated: September 2026
These policies apply to Heritage Farm & Co. and its family of brands, including Indigo Market, Amason Grace, Crescent Bakehouse, Sea Island Honey, Kin Reméd, Farmstead Provisions, and related storefronts or sales channels linking to this page.
By placing an order, purchasing a product, registering for an event, visiting the farm, volunteering, or making a donation through one of our platforms, you agree to the policies below.
Our Products and Production Partners
Heritage Farm & Co. is a working farm and small family-owned company. Our offerings may include farm-grown produce, pantry goods, baked goods, honey, botanical products, prepared foods, and curated merchandise.
Products may be:
Grown, prepared, packaged, or fulfilled by Heritage Farm & Co.;
Prepared in a permitted commercial kitchen;
Produced to our specifications by a partner producer;
Private-labeled
Purchased for resale from independent makers, manufacturers, or wholesalers; or
Made by another approved supplier.
Because our products come from different sources, not every item is grown, baked, bottled, or packaged on the farm, and not every product is covered by cottage-food rules. Product descriptions, labels, and packaging will provide the applicable maker, ingredients, allergen, handling, and production information.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, although Heritage Farm & Co. is an organic and naturally grown farm and product source, it does not represent its products as USDA Certified Organic.
Food, Perishable Goods, and Allergens
Food and consumable products are final sale because of health, safety, freshness, and handling requirements.
Customers are responsible for reviewing product labels and ingredient information before use. Please contact us before ordering if you have questions about ingredients, allergens, dietary restrictions, or storage.
Natural variation in color, size, flavor, texture, appearance, and weight is normal for seasonal, handmade, farm-grown, and small-batch products.
Order Availability
Seasonal products are subject to harvest conditions, weather, inventory, supplier availability, and production schedules. Product availability may change without notice.
If an ordered item becomes unavailable, we may contact you to offer a replacement, store credit, or refund for that item. If we cannot reach you, the unavailable item may be refunded.
We reserve the right to correct pricing, description, inventory, or availability errors and to cancel or modify an order when necessary.
Order Processing and Delivery
Most orders are prepared within 2–5 business days unless a different timeline is stated on the product page or at checkout.
Shipping times begin after an order has been processed and accepted by the carrier. Carrier delivery dates are estimates and may be affected by weather, holidays, supply interruptions, address errors, or circumstances outside our control.
Fresh, chilled, seasonal, made-to-order, preorder, and event-related items may have separate pickup or delivery schedules.
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address and for receiving the order promptly. Please contact us if an order appears lost, arrives damaged, or does not arrive within the expected delivery window.
Food and Consumable Returns
Food, beverages, baked goods, honey, herbs, teas, tinctures, salves, candles, personal-care products, and other consumable or hygienic products cannot be returned because of a change of mind, taste preference, texture preference, or improper storage after delivery.
If you receive an item that is incorrect, missing, damaged, materially defective, unsafe, or significantly different from what was ordered, contact us:
Within 48 hours of delivery or pickup for shelf-stable items; or
On the same day for fresh, chilled, or highly perishable items.
Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs when applicable.
After review, we may provide a replacement, store credit, or refund. Remedies are determined based on the condition of the product, the nature of the issue, and available inventory.
Merchandise Returns
Eligible merchandise may be returned within 30 calendar days of delivery or purchase.
Merchandise must be:
Unused and unworn;
Unwashed and unaltered;
In original condition;
Returned with original tags attached;
Returned in original packaging when applicable; and
Accompanied by proof of purchase.
The following items are not eligible for return unless defective or incorrectly fulfilled:
Final-sale or clearance items;
Personalized or made-to-order items;
Opened hygienic or personal-care products;
Used, washed, altered, damaged, or visibly worn merchandise; and
Gift cards.
Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the item was sent incorrectly or arrived defective. We do not charge a restocking fee.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after the return is received and approved. Your bank or payment provider may require additional time to post the refund.
Exchanges
Exchanges are subject to inventory availability. If the requested replacement is unavailable, we may issue store credit or a refund for an eligible item.
Gift Cards
Gift cards may be available online or at approved sales events.
Gift cards:
Are redeemable toward eligible purchases from the issuing Heritage Farm & Co. brand;
Are not refundable or redeemable for cash except where required by law;
May not be used to purchase another gift card;
Should be treated like cash; and
May not be replaced if lost or stolen unless the purchase and remaining balance can be verified.
Gift-card terms are subject to applicable law.
Donations and Citizen Thrive
When a donation campaign is offered, donations may be accepted on behalf of Citizen Thrive under a written agreement between Citizen Thrive and Heritage Farm & Co.
Heritage Farm & Co. is not the charitable recipient and does not independently issue charitable tax receipts. Citizen Thrive is responsible for acknowledging donations and confirming its current tax-exempt status.
A contribution may be tax-deductible only if Citizen Thrive is an eligible charitable organization and the contribution otherwise qualifies under applicable law. Heritage Farm & Co. does not guarantee tax deductibility. Donors should retain any acknowledgment provided and consult their tax professional.
Designated campaign funds are remitted to Citizen Thrive in accordance with the applicable written agreement. Any payment-processing or campaign-related costs will be disclosed before donation.
Where Does My Donation Go?
The donation page or campaign description will identify the intended purpose of the campaign. Unless otherwise stated, designated donations are intended to support Citizen Thrive’s community programs and charitable work.
Heritage Farm & Co. does not treat a donation as payment for merchandise, services, admission, or an event unless the transaction clearly states otherwise.
Donations in Honor or Memory
When available, donors may make a contribution in honor or memory of another person. Donors may provide the name and contact information of the person or family receiving an acknowledgment.
An honor or memorial acknowledgment is not a tax receipt. Any tax acknowledgment for the donation is handled by the organization receiving the contribution.
In-Kind Donations
We may accept in-kind donations of approved goods, supplies, equipment, services, or materials on a case-by-case basis.
Please contact us before sending or delivering an in-kind donation. We cannot guarantee acceptance, storage, transportation, or use of unsolicited items.
Heritage Farm & Co. and Citizen Thrive do not assign monetary values to donated property. Donors are responsible for determining whether an in-kind donation is deductible and should consult a qualified tax professional.
Volunteering and Getting Involved
Volunteer opportunities may be available through scheduled farm workdays, educational programs, community projects, events, workshops, and other approved activities.
Volunteer opportunities vary according to season, staffing, weather, crop needs, and available programming. Contact us through the website to express interest.
Volunteers may be required to complete an orientation, waiver, safety briefing, background screening, or other participation requirements depending on the activity.
Farm Visits and Public Access
Heritage Farm & Co. is a working agricultural site and is not a walk-in retail store.
Farm access is available by:
Scheduled appointment;
Announced public event;
Scheduled tour or workshop;
Approved volunteer day;
Educational program; or
Confirmed order pickup.
For the safety of visitors and staff, the protection of crops and animals, food-quality control, biosecurity, and proper site operations, unscheduled visitors and unannounced drop-ins are not permitted.
Visitors must remain in designated areas, follow staff instructions and posted signage, and stay away from restricted work areas, equipment, animals, growing areas, and private spaces.
We reserve the right to refuse or end a visit when safety, weather, operations, staffing, or site conditions require it.
Policy Changes
We may update these policies as our products, services, operations, brands, and legal requirements change. The version posted on this page is the current version.
These policies do not limit any rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
For questions about an order, return, donation, volunteer opportunity, farm visit, or product, please contact us through the website.
